Saving is sometimes very difficult. Especially when expenditure is equal to or greater than income. However, for your financial comfort, it is worth taking care to always have financial security, not to worry when unexpected expenses appear (e.g. if your car breaks down) or just can make your dreams come true.

As mentioned earlier, it is worth writing down your goals and estimating the costs – which will motivate you to save money. It is also worthwhile to analyze your budget and determine the real amount you can save each month. You can transfer this amount to a special savings account at a bank for more difficult access.

It has been scientifically proven that it is much easier to spend money by paying with a card, because then we do not feel the loss as much as we would pay in cash. When we pay in cash, we have more control and it is more pity when we see that we are losing money in our wallet. So if you have a problem with saving, maybe you should think about paying in cash and keeping to a fixed budget for a particular category of expenditure?

There are also several ways TO OPTIMISE YOUR SPENDING:

  1. When you go shopping, make a list and buy only what’s on it. This way you avoid buying unnecessary things.
  2. Shop smartly. If you’re not sure, hold on to your purchase. It’s not good to buy something you don’t like 100%.
  3. If you like something very much and it’s very expensive, consider if you really need it. Maybe it is worth to wait and look for the same product in an online store or other stationary store, but cheaper, or a substitute? Enthusiasm and excitement are bad advisors.
  4. Buy products on promotions.
  5. If you pay a lot, for example on the phone, look for another operator. You can also think of a family package – it is often much cheaper!
  6. A visit to the dentist sometimes costs a lot. Let your dental students treat you!
  7. Sometimes you can find new clothes with a small defect (slightly soiled, torn at the seam, etc.). Such damage is easy to repair, and at the same time you can get a discount almost every time.
  8. If something breaks down, don’t throw it away. Give it back to the warranty (if the warranty period has not yet expired). For this purpose, remember to keep your proof of purchase.
  9. Compare prices of frequently purchased products (especially food products) in different stores. Sometimes we can overpay. It is worth making a list of products in a given shop, where you can buy them cheaper.
  10. Buy chemical products or those you often use in large packaging. This is more beneficial.
  11. If you spend a lot of money on eating out. Start cooking at home. Instead of meeting with friends in a pizzeria or café, invite them to come and prepare something together.
  12. Can’t you afford a holiday? Browse last minute offers, look for cheap flights, go on off-season dates, etc.

There are a lot of possibilities to reduce expenses. It often involves searching and spending time on it, but it is worth it. You don’t always have to give up on something you care about. There are many ways to achieve this!
